What is YPP?
Member profile Young Purchasing Professionals (YPP) is a network of young professional up to the age of 35 working or interested in the field of purchasing and supply management. This could be either in profit or not-for-profit organizations, and also students and PhD's are welcomed. YPP aims to be an international network where young people can meet others with a connection to supply management. In The Netherlands the YPP-NL network has already more than 700 members. Vincent van Nieulande (Chairman)
Vincent studied Technology Management at the University of Groningen. During his study period he did an internship in India where he consulted a local software company to expand their business to Europe. In 2007 he graduated developing a product selection model for a Dutch bus manufacturer, in order to source cost efficiently from Asia. Currently Vincent is working for ASML within the Supply Chain Management department. In his job he develops methodologies and processes to execute and improve the ASML Procurement Strategy called “Value Sourcing”.

Rens Buis
Rens holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a specialization in International Marketing Management. During his study he spent a semester at the “Universidad de Granada” in Spain at the faculty of Economic and Business Sciences. He completed his study with an internship at the Hyatt Regency Cancun in Mexico. Rens started his working career in the field of sales and marketing in the petrol industry where he dealt with procurement professionals of large petrol companies. In 2008 he switched his career and joined PostNL at the Group Procurement department where he is now responsible for the procurement of all Marketing & Communication activities. Karin van der Esch (Treasurer)
Karin holds a Masters degree (MSc) in International Business from Tilburg University, with the specialisations management and marketing. During her study, she spent a semester abroad at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA. Karin completed her graduation thesis within the procurement department of FujiFilm Manufacturing Europe. Karin works as Senior Buyer Energy at NS, and is responsible for tendering and managing company wide electricity, natural gas and gasoil (diesel) contracts. She also plays an active role contibuting to the refinement of NS CSR policy and is project manager for the demolition of rolling stock.

Achraf Talhaoui
Achraf holds a Master Degree in International Business Communication and a Master in Business Administration with a specialisation for Marketing. During his study he was chairman of the study association Babylon. He started his working career at Coppa Consultancy as a management consultant in the field of procurement and logistics. Achraf worked on several projects ( Global saving programs, IT-sourcing and Strategic Sourcing) within global, multinational and regional organizations. Achraf has developed his consultancy skills in the last five years and has good experience in the field of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing.

Eveline Hogenes
Eveline studied Business Administration at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and holds a Masters degree(MSc) in Strategic Management and Supply Chain Management. During her study, she did an internship for Heineken in Cape Verde and for Interpolis in Tilburg. She was a board member of the Master study Association for Supply Chain Management. After her studies, Eveline traveled for half a year in Australia and New Zealand. In July 2007, Eveline joined Philips General Purchasing to work on different challenging assignments; Sourcing for Marketing and Sales, Supplier Quality Management Program for Philips Lighting, Sourcing team manager in Poland and NPR Sourcing specialist for the Nordic countries in Stockholm. SinceSeptember 2010, Eveline is working for Philips Healthcare and is responsible for strategic sourcing of service parts and repair for MRI systems.

Dirk Spijkers
Dirk holds a masters degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Strategy and Supply Chain Management. He graduated developing a model for learning in strategic alliances. He started his working career as a Procurement Trainee at Essent. There he also worked as manager of a corporate procurement department, where he was responsible for cost-reduction and PMI related projects, performance management and the development of the Procurement Trainees. After Essent he worked for A.T. Kearney in various European countries, where he was involved in sourcing related projects. He currently works as Sr. Advisor Strategy & Operations at PwC, where his focus lies in the area of organizational development, procurement transformation, sourcing and cost reduction programs.
