Sourcing in low cost countries
As a purchaser you want to venture beyond the European borders. Low cost countries ogle but there are many hurdles to take before you can make the most of opportunities. During this training you will therefore learn to tackle obstacles for sourcing in BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China). During this training theory, practice, discussions and cases will alternate. This way you will be offered lots of structures, handles and practical tips in a diverse setting. In order for you to easily convert theory into daily practice we ask you to prepare a case of your own organization prior to the training.
This training is intended for employees who:
- Are responsible for purchasing, are regularly involved in purchasing matters or will be more involved in purchasing in the near future
- Work at a purchasing department
- Want to obtain the best possible basis for purchasing in a short time

- Produce a sourcing route using a tight methodology
- Make a plan for market research and use it
- Set up international RFI’s and RFQ’s

- Set up international contracts
- Handle international payments and supply conditions
- Deal with cultural aspects and influences
- Use several successful practical examples and models of purchasing in low cost countries
- Understand, integrate and apply the various elements of the contract management process
